Olympus v7.4 · Streaming reasoning, end to end. Shareable for 24 hours.

April 24, 2026·4 min read

v7.4 is the biggest tech-facing release since launch. Olympus reasons out loud while it works, ships parts + labor + bench tests with every diagnosis, and lets you share a case with a buddy tech for a 24-hour second opinion.

  1. Streaming reasoning, end to end.

Tokens stream word-by-word. The thinking panel pulses while Olympus reasons; tools dispatch in parallel so DTC + WSM + pinpoint-test fetches happen at once instead of in sequence.

  2. Parts. Labor. Bench tests.

    constitution v1.0

Every diagnosis ships with `partNumber`, `laborOpCode`, and structured measurement actions (connector / pin / expected nominal + unit) when the WSM has them. When the WSM doesn't have it, Olympus says so. No fabrication.

  3. Export the artifact.

    /export

    `/export repair-order` writes a Ford-PARS file ready to attach. `/export md` writes a markdown report with clickable WSM / TSB chips. `/export customer` drops a plain-language summary for the service writer's desk.

  4. Hand it to a buddy tech.

    /share · 24h

`/share` returns a short URL another tech can open without an account. PII scrubbed before it leaves the server (VIN partially masked; phone, email, and SSN redacted). 24-hour expiry. Stuck on a job? Send the link.

  5. Train a new tech in 90 seconds.

    /demo

`/demo` lists fixtures. `/demo p0420-catalyst-efficiency` walks the canonical P0420 case turn-by-turn with real Olympus output. Onboarding without a vehicle.

  6. Macros. Templates. Bus replay.

    /macro · /template

`/macro record` captures a sequence of slashes and replays it on demand. `/template save` snapshots a recurring symptom for one-keystroke reuse. `Ctrl-B` replays the last 30 seconds of diagnostic traffic.
